Enhancing Curb Appeal With A Custom Designed Portico

Customer Issues
This is a multi-part project
In the first phase
- The customer needed to address issues related to a poorly installed front step and brick parapets.
For the second phase
- In a development where about a third of the homes are the same model differentiated only by the color of the brick, the roof, the shutters and siding the homeowner wanted to have a curb appeal feature that distinguished their home from the others.
Bel Air Construction Solutions
For the first phase
- The builder installed, rectangular step with brick parapets was removed and a foundation for the step properly established.
- A distinctive semi-circular, all brick step was designed and installed.
For the second phase
- A new 6 panel, Pella fiberglass entry door with full decorative glass sidelights was installed.
- Using the previously installed semi-circular step as inspiration, a like-shaped portico was custom designed in keeping with the Georgian architecture of the home.
- Constructed of maintenance-free materials the portico is topped by a hand-crafted, standing seam copper roof.
